Better Start Writing my Eulogy
I’VE FINALLY HIT THE POINT where my dog is more embarrassed of me than I am of him. Usually I’m the one hiding behind my collar when he squats in an inopportune place, blushing when he barks at anything that moves and being ashamed when he tries to bite the people that come to change Grandmas oxygen.
Now the tables have turned, as I’ve found certain things that he does not like.
First and foremost, doggy clothes. Now, to be fair I don’t think any dog begs to be dressed up like a mini human, and Ollie certainly gets a grim look when I whip out his jacket. It’s not my fault he gets so cold! Blame him for being half Chihuahua and thinking he’s freezing in 80 weather.
Second, he does not like cameras. This might be in direct proportion to his dislike for the sweaters he has to wear. Now if you know me (or spend even ten seconds scrolling through my blog) you know that I love photos so much I practically have a camera strapped to my face. Endless amusement.
First up, we have what my friend calls Hermione Granger with Sass.

This is self explanitory. Love those big brown eyes.

I decided to try to photograph Ollie alone, which wasn’t working so I did the most reasonable thing – put him in the tub.

This was too offensive to him. He obviously was not going to look straight into the camera, so I lay on the floor and threw my arm up in the air to see what kind of shot I’d get. Look at this and just try to tell me you didn’t laugh. I sure did. And just to clarify. . .yes, his teeth really DO stick out like that, all the time.

As if all this harassment wasn’t enough, I made him wear the Bomber Jacket.

The final straw was when I started the whole process over and got the look from McGruff the Crime Dog himself.

I think after he finds out that I posted this, he’ll kill me in my sleep. Just wait until you see the visor hat I got for him, it’s a hoot!

aw that is too cute, i do the same thing with my cat, she hates pictures because of the flash, so if i turn off the flash i can usually get a decent shot of her, plus she hates her clothes that i have for her, so when she makes me mad i get my revenge by getting out her flapper dress.
he is too cute-and as far as clothes I think he will get used to them the more frequently you use them-and you are even cuter than he is*hugs*
Okay, hands down, my favorite shot is the one in the tub where he is too humiliated to even look into the camera for you! He obviously does not think he is dignified enough in that pose. Ollie seems like one of the cutest dogs ever! So I guess it’s fair: you put up with him barking at the people with the oxygen tanks and he puts up with the camera.
OMG, that dog is funny! I love the photo of him just barely sticking his head out from the tub! He looks so mad!
I agree with SnuffleUPugus it’s a fair trade – barking for the camera.
Ha ha. Oh Ollie. I love him.
Very cute pictures of you two.
I take too many pictures most of the time. But aren’t pictures the best?
Ollie, Ollie, Ollie. I hope you start liking your cute clothes soon.
I finally got to see cute Ollie and pet him as he was being watched
by gram and gramp yesterday. He is very sociable and loves to run
around the farm. Pics are darling!!!
