Better Than Truth Serum

by Aubrey on June 10th, 2009

I WAS HOPING TO HAVE THE REAL ANSWERS TO THESE, where I say the weirdest most embarrassing things when awakening from being under. Since that wasn’t a possibility, I’ll just answer them while under the influence of painkillers. I figure the answers will be similar since I have no self shame anyway.

Kamie’s Questions:

*If you could go on a vacay now, where would you go?
Yellowstone, or Zions. Those are my two favorite places to be.
*Jacob? Really?
Right now, I’d take anyone that would love and take care of me. Edward likes to leave, so yes, Jacob.
*What would you like to be when you grow up?
Silly enough. . .an author of romance and fantasy books. Now please excuse me while I go hide and act like I never admitted that!
*What are one of your hopes and dreams?
To succeed. I know that’s lame, but I want to succeed at life, being a good mom and wife and good at everything else I listed on my other post, I Wish.
*Name a trait that makes you, YOU.
My tongue. Whenever I’m focusing, I always have to have my tongue sticking out. It’s a habit I’ve had my whole life and I never realize that I do it.
*What are you looking forward to?
My mouth not hurting.
*What is your favorite movie?
Twilight. The Notebook. 27 Dresses. Oh wait, did you say “Movie” and not “Movies”? Oops.
*What word do you say most often?
Haha. Oh. Uhhh.
*Worst feeling in the world?
Getting my tonsils taken out. Yes, it was even worse than this pesky wisdom tooth removal.
*Best feeling in the world?
When I succeed at something.
*What is under your bed?
Boxes of old school projects, summer clothes and folded blankets.
*3 thoughts that you have at this moment?
These question posts are fun.
Pudding tastes good.
I wish I could smile.
*What was your last purchase?
Ice cream, popsicles, gatorades, four packs of pudding and some jello.
*What are you worried about right now?
Not feeling well enough to go to work.
*Where is your favorite place to be?
Yellowstone.
*Can you whistle?
In general, yes. Right now, no.
*What was the last thing that made you laugh?
Dale laughing at my chipmunk cheeks.
*What was the first you thought when you woke up?
That I hate pain.
*Name one person who can make you smile.
Kamie!!!
*Name a pet peeve.
When people file their nails and I’m in the same room.
*Something that annoys you the most.
When someone complains about their life but does nothing to change it. I admit, I do this a lot too.
*Your best friend tells you she is pregnant. What is your reaction?
I’m happy for her and tell her so. Then I sit and let her vent about how it’s so hard to be pregnant, while I silently bite my tongue because I’m not even married yet.
*When is the last time you wanted to punch someone in the face?
Yesterday, when Machelle was throwing me every curse word in the book.
*Congratulations! You just had a daughter. What’s her name?
I haven’t even thought about that! I wouldn’t know what to name a girl.
*Congratulations! You just had a son. What’s his name?
Preston.
*What are you craving right now?
Texas Roadhouse rolls – what else?!
*What was the last thing you cried about?
I cried when I got home on Monday, I think it was just an after effect of the anestesia.
*What was the last voicemail you received about?
It’s still sitting in my phone, unopened so I’m not quite sure. Probably mom, telling me she’s either late or on her way over.
*Scariest thing you’ve experienced in the last year?
Moving out on my own. I am a wuss.
*What kind of car do you want?
Mazda 6. I’ve had an obsession with them ever since I saw them. I call it my “affordable dream car”.
*What is your favorite key on your key chain?
The one that lets me into my car, since my car is my freedom.
*What is your favorite aisle at Target?
The home organization aisles. I love looking at planners, notebooks, pens, pencils…even if I never use those when I buy them!
*Is there anything hanging from your rear view mirror?
My high school graduation tassle. I always think “I should take that down, I hate that thing”, but then I catch myself and everyone else touching it so it just stays there.
*What are you going to do after this?
Pick up more pills. Thrilling, I know.
*Do you like the color green?
I don’t wear the color green very often, but I love the look of Forest Green. I have a green bedspread.
*How many hours did you sleep for last night?
The most I have in a while – 10 whole hours.
*Do you think someone is thinking about you right now?
Yes, because they are wondering when I’ll quit complaining. No actually, I have a lot of sweet friends and family that keep asking if they can get me anything. Loves!
*Have you ever changed your clothes while in a vehicle?
A few times, yes. I always change shoes in my car. I wear heels to work but I drive in flip flops. I’ve changed clothes when I’m running late and don’t want to bother stopping and going in somewhere.
*What were you doing at midnight last night?
Talking to you (Kamie) online, and wondering when I’d be able to go to sleep.
*Have you ever tampered with someone’s food?
Yes, with Machelles. There was one time when we were little, we were both sitting on the couch. She had a big, heaping plate of pancakes and I was teasing her that I was going to drop a fluff ball (for lack of a better word) from one of the trees into her food. Well…I accidentally let go, and the fluff floated down right into her syrup. She still hasn’t forgiven me.
*What time is your alarm clock set for?
6:00AM. I don’t go to work until 8:00AM. That leaves me an hour to hit snooze and an hour to get ready.
*What CD is currently in your CD player?
Breaking Benjamin, Shedaisy, and some random mix CD from high school years.
*Has anyone told you a secret this week?
Yup, and no, I’m not telling (probably because I’ve already forgotten it)
*Last time you had butterflies in your stomach?
The usual – reading an LDS romance novel.
*What one thing do you wish you had?
More patience.
*Favorite lyrics?
I have way too many to choose from. I like 100 Years by Five for Fighting, I Wish by Point of Grace, any Shedaisy lyrics, Taylor Swift, Breaking Benjamin, Trapt…I guess this more correctly answers “what’s your favorite music” and not lyrics. Sorry.

  1. Yay! I loved reading that!
And of course I have lots of comments. I always have comments.

?Great vacation places! I love Yellowstone! I have only been to Zions a few times. Once with Dottie a couple of months ago! :) We should go to one of those places!
?I understand why you like Jacob, I just had to tease you a little, of course. ;)
?Awesome! I think you would be a great author! I can’t wait until I can tell everyone that I knew you BEFORE you were famous. AND, I would totally read all your books and make everyone else that I know read them.
?I must be lame too, cause I think succeeding is a great hope and dream!
?I do that too! Well, I use to do it all the time, but one day I was mopping. I was wringing out the mop and the handle slipped out of my hand and hit my chin. After I bit my tongue (and split my chin) I quit biting it so much. Now I bite my bottom lip. MUCH better I tell you. Much better. Now I just have teeth imprint on the inside of my lips all the time.
?Good Movies! I love those! Do you like “p.s. i love you”? I like that one lately.
    ?Mmmm…. pudding! Texas Roadhouse. Mmm!
?I can make you smile? You are far too nice. I have been trying NOT to make you smile lately. ;)
?Oh gosh, that is so me. Complaining and not changing. *working in that* ;)
?Preston is a cute name, I love it!
?You are so not a wuss. Moving out is scary. You seem to be doing great!
?Those ARE nice cars! I do like Mazdas… just not maintaining them. Boo! Dustyn had a P5 when we got married.
?I LOVE organizing stuff. I have a weakness for all of it. And office supplies. I don’t need them, but i sure do want them!
    ?I love snooze.
    ?You like SheDaisy? ME TOO!

Thanks for answering all my questions! :) Sorry for the freaking long comment!

  2. WHAT?!?! Your comments won’t allow my apple symbol. Boo wordpress! Just ignore the question marks. :P

    What a fun Q & A section!
Wish I could get used to the snooze button. I rarely ever hear my alarm, because I dread the sound, so I wake up before it goes off. You may ask, why set the alarm then? And my answer is that, if the alarm weren’t set, I would not wake up to avoid the sound. I might never wake up at all, and that would make keeping a job difficult….
Glad you answered these questions – fun to get to know you better.
