It seems I’ve fallen into some sort of a rut.

And this is not cool.

You know what would fix it? Another cruise! I’d love to go for another seven days of only wearing these:

Even if the bathroom was tiny.

Don’t mind the cleavage. You’ll be seeing a lot of it in these Lost Chronicle posts. And it’s all fake!

What, it’s called brutal honesty, okay? Or as my mom calls it, TMI. I just didn’t want you to be super jealous or anything. Glad we could clear that up.

I’d love to go back to finding these little guys on our bed at night.

And taking pictures of random crap.

And I definitely wouldn’t mind throwing on a robe to go out on the deck and watch this every morning either.

Today we are virtually boarding the Carnival Splendor – aka the ship that started on fire.

You didn’t know about that?

Well it did. Last week. And it stranded tons of people, a day into their vacation.

Let’s just say a quick THANK YOU that it wasn’t us…because three months ago it easily would have been.

This was our room.

This deck cost us extra, but it was worth every penny. We spent hours sitting out there.

Here’s the newspaper the cruise line puts out every day, so you can know what is on the agenda.

Their buffet was open 24 hours (like everything else on the boat). It had pretty good food but the BEST place, hands down was the pizza shack on the Lido deck.

This is the Lido deck. Directly below is a huge screen where we laid in those chairs and watched Avatar in our swimsuits at night. It was awesome.

The famous slide that we never went down. Apparently half of the paying customers on board were kids. And they were terrifying. And loud. And crawling ALL OVER THAT SLIDE. Pass.

This was the best part, the adults only section, where we were constantly asked if we were “supposed to be back here” or if we were “old enough to be back here”. Or the best, if we were BROTHER AND SISTER, because you know, it’s normal somewhere for brothers and sisters to kiss and hold hands and flaunt their love for each other publicly.

Uh next time I decide not to take my wedding ring somewhere because I fear I might lose it? Remind me of that moment.

The “Spectacular Spectacular” where they do shows.

The cruise was great, but there was one thing that bugged me every single day in the formal dining room.

Spot it yet?

CREEPS.

There were creeps on our plates.

But that’s not too hard to overlook when my food looks like this:

And I’m with my handsome new husband.

And we’re ordering Chocolate Melting Cake with a side of orange sherbet every night.

And when we were finally all tuckered out from swimming and eating and going to shows, we go back to the room and find this:

Cruising is good.
