Mockingjay
(The Scene: 9:30 at night, I go into the bedroom and snuggle into Kevin, burying my face in his neck).
“I finished my book,” I said softly.
“You okay?” he questioned.
“I cried,” I mumble in response, on the verge of tears again.
“Aww babe,” was his only response as he wrapped his arms around me.
“And now I’m crying because I’m embarrassed about crying over a book!” I tried to keep my tone level and keep my tears off of his skin.
“Well how did it go? Tell me everything.” I knew he was trying to cheer me up, and possibly wanting an answer for how something could upset me so bad.
“I can’t. Ask me tomorrow.” I got up to blow my nose.
He made a chuffing noise. “What kind of book is it, The Notebook!?”
“No – worse!”
(SOMEONE please tell me I’m not alone. I usually don’t admit to the fact that I cry about books, but this one seriously. Wow. Genius. A must read.)

Give me the other books that go with it…bring them if you come tonight. If you dare loan them to me that is, we know how I can be with rentals.
Then I will cry with you.
I’m so glad you liked Mockingjay! Every other person I’ve talked to said they hated it and I haven’t even read it and I was starting to think maybe I wouldn’t.
I’m going to go read it now.
(Also, I cry over books on a disturbingly regular basis. Many of my books don’t close properly because my tears warped the pages.)
Even though I haven’t even gotten half way into the book I’m right with ya. I always cry. And it’s nice that Kevin was being supportive, unlike my boyfriend, who laughs histerically right at my face when he sees me crying over a book/movie, which only makes me cry even harder… Yep, that’s my boyfriend for you- the unsentimentalist.
I was definitely a weepy mess after reading Mockingjay, you aren’t alone! All the girls I know who read it cried too. Lovelovelove the hunger games books!
I have cried, laughed, cussed and screamed at EVERY Black Dagger Brotherhood book I’ve ever read. The last one was the only time anyone else was home for the ending though and Cody looked over and I was flat out BAWLING. He was totally freaked, lol.
