The Hanson, “Mmmbop”!
DON’T ASK HOW WE GOT ON THE CONVERSATION, but for some odd reason I felt the need to confess my deepest, darkest secret to Ashley this morning, which is:
I fear that my drivers license photo looks like a Hanson brother.

You think I’m joking, but I remember back to that day when mom took me to the DMV and I first got my drivers license photo taken. I hated every single photo we took, but the squatty little man behind the camera only gave me two options. Sad to say, this one was the better one.
I’d get a new one, but this one feels like a throwback to the old high school days of 32 ounce Mountain Dews and a slice of pizza for lunch, days where I hung out with the “guys” and played World of Warcraft. Days where I didn’t care what anybody thought of me because I was happy.
And you know what? I may actually do my hair now and I don’t play Warcraft, but things are still the same. I’ll still eat pizza and ridiculous amounts of caffeine for lunch, I still like to hang out, draw, wear the same style of clothes, drive the same car, and all those other things I did back in the day.
But most importantly, I still don’t care what people think of me, which is why I can publicly post my Hanson photo for the world to see.
Come on.

Seriously—if people dont know hanson then they’ll think youre crazy. BUT…if they know them, or even remember that damn song, its so funny to see your picture, and your view of it—altho I didnt see it until you mentioned it! So funny. I’ve been cracking up all day. You think the weirdest things ever.

I looked 12 in my first drivers license picture. I should find that. lol
I was living overseas from the late 80’s through the mid-90’s, so had never heard of the Hansons. I watched a couple of their videos on Youtube, and by golly, their songs were sorta catchy! You however, do not look like a Hanson. Even though it’s difficult to distinguish if the Hansons were all boys, all girls, or a mix, people should be able to tell that you are most definitely a girl! Shit though, those Hanson brothers turned out pretty damn cute though, didn’t they!
Way behind – for some odd reason (remember that email I sent ages ago?) I cannot comment on your blog from home – it won’t let me. So I’ve had these ‘comments’ in a word doc for ages it seems, and I’m at work, so I’m commenting with them! YAY!
I just read this post for the first time and it totally made me smile! Oh and, by the way, the video was actually made in 1997 so you were only eight!! Ahhhh! It’s definitely a good thing that you look like Hanson in this pic bc I think they are all beautiful (okay, maybe not the oldest one!)
